Shechem represents the valley of choices that each of us must make. Jesus stands in the middle asking whether we will choose life or death, blessing or curse, truth or lie - not only for ourselves, but for our children, our church and our country? Ultimately, each of us must decide daily: what path will I choose? Will I serve myself or will I, like Joshua, declare, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”? True life comes when we join His side, follow His plans, fight His fight and establish His Kingdom!
