While the Israelites had successes, they often settled for most of God’s promises rather than fully possessing the land. The enemy works through deception and distraction, trying to keep us from walking in God’s promises but he is ultimately afraid of those who stand firm in Christ. We prevent his schemes by knowing God’s Word, seeking Him in prayer, trusting His wisdom, and guarding our minds. Ultimately, God will turn the enemy’s plans for His glory, calling us to pursue the full inheritance He has prepared.
