To fully follow Jesus…
• I must love God more than my very own family
• I must be willing to live for Jesus so much that I would be willing to die for Jesus
• I must count the cost of discipleship before I decide to follow Jesus
• I must stay salty: Staying active, fresh, and being influential in the Kingdom of God
The Gospel/Christ Connection: Jesus gave us His life for us, and He expects us to give up our lives in service to Him as His disciple.
• Jesus gave His life fully for you. The Gospel empowers us to lay down our life for Jesus and for others.
• Jesus carried His Cross so that you could be free…free not to serve yourself, but free to give yourself freely and fully in the service of the Savior.
• If you have not yet received from Jesus did for you on the Cross, today is the day of your salvation.
Today’s Big Idea (A short summary): Salvation is free, but discipleship is very costly.
