How do we build a life of legacy in 2023? This weekend Pastor Steve kicked off our New Year series called, “23 and Me.”
Joshua 1:7
Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.
While the funeral music for Moses is still being heard, God speaks firmly to Joshua, "Moses is gone, but I have not changed.” Be strong.
1) Loss is real. God is still good.
Fear and disobedience are related, because when we are afraid, we are magnifying our problems and fears and making them bigger than God. Loss is real, but God will continue to be good to us.
2) Practice remembering God’s grace.
God tells Joshua to meditate on His Word day and night. It is the way that we can build our courage and conviction. What is your meditation?
3) Be courageous and lean into God’s promises.
It’s a promise that brings rejoicing. If God is for us, then we can lean into every one of his promises with courage for the new year.
Be strong and very courageous! Happy New Year!
