Made for Mission (1): What’s for Dinner?
Rev. Ho-Ming Tsui
Scripture: Luke 15:1-2, 19:1-10; 7-23

Mission Principles
• Every disciple is sent by Jesus
• Every disciple has a unique life mission
• We can do it together, by God’s grace!
“Ordinary people, Empowered by God, Making a difference, together, Wherever they are”
–––
The Dinner Strategy of Jesus
It is a visible and tangible expression of God’s love and acceptance of people (Luke 15)
Jesus had a mission that he gave the disciples at the Last Supper (Luke 22:7-23): “Extend the table”

Marks of the Dinner Strategy:
• Located in a place and time that would allow non-believers to observe our fellowship and feel comfortable to join us
• Provide a meal free of charge to communicate a generous gospel
• Assure that everyone eats together
• Invite the Spirit to guide your conversations (pose an interesting question; offer a word of encouragement; share a gospel truth; etc.)
• Offer prayers for healing and favour
• Maintain a prevailing atmosphere of Christ in the room of peace, joy, healing, & laughter
