How do we navigate changes in these turbulent, unpredictable times?
1. Recognize change is inevitable
1. Change is inevitable
2. Change produces stress
3. There is no growth without change
4. There is no change without stress (loss, pain)
2. Build our lives around that which is unchangeable (Eccles. 3:11, Romans 1:21-25)
We make a “covenantal deal” with whatever gives us a sense of security and permanence. (Hebrews 1:12, 13:8, Isaiah 40:28, Malachi 3:6)
Since God doesn’t change, it means:
- His presence will never leave you
- His love for you does not change
- His purpose does not change
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
