Jesus changed the way the world thought about greatness: If you want to be great, then serve greatly.

1. Humble service comes from deep gratitude (v. 1-16)

2. True greatness comes from humble service (v. 17-28)

just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many

a. “Just as” = Pattern to follow when serving
b. “Just as” = Power to persist in serving
