Discipleship Questions.
1. We are entering a section in Mark’s gospel in which Jesus is going to be asked many questions. What is the purpose of the question presented to Jesus in this text? What can this teach us about questions, purpose, and our hearts?
2. Take a moment to look over the previous chapters of Mark. What are some of the miracles that Jesus performed? What do they reveal about his identity and authority?
3. Why do you think Jesus is unwilling to answer the question from the Scribes? What does this teach us about discipleship?
4. The Scribes used a question to keep themselves from having to deal with the truth. When have you used questions this way? What was the outcome?
