Description

Leviticus focuses on the laws and rituals God gave the Jews to help them live holy lives. Leviticus 16, which describes the Day for Atonement, is a foreshadowing of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice and redemptive work on the cross.

1. The need for atonement (Leviticus 16:2).

2. The scapegoat: Sin removed (Leviticus 16:22)

3. The once-for-all sacrifice (Leviticus 16:29-30)

4. The invitation to draw near (Hebrews 4:16)

What should I do? 1 - Reflect on the magnitude of Jesus' sacrifice; 2 - Accept the atonement in Jesus; 3- Live in the freedom and forgiveness Jesus provides.
