Little kids are not very good at covering up their mistakes. As hard as they might try, their efforts are usually futile. In fact, their lies and attempts at hiding the evidence are often so far-fetched that they can even be a little humorous. When we, as adults, try to cover up our sins before God, the results will always be futile. But the difference between us and a child hiding their wrongs is that God doesn’t find it humorous at all.
