It wasn’t easy to start the church. Jesus flipped everything on its head in his teaching and through his death, including who gets included! The Gentiles had no place in the old covenant unless they chose to become a Jew and follow the law. But when Jesus died, he tore through the veil that kept people out of the presence of God. Even Gentiles now had a place at the table. So when it came time to figure out the theology of it all, the apostles and disciples looked to the fruit! The Gentiles who came to Christ without the law were filled with joy. And in the end, the covenant under the blood of Christ will always bring joy!
