Description

We come to Acts 4, where Peter says there is "No Other Name" than Jesus for salvation. This claim was incredibly offensive at the time, but it certainly is unpopular today as well. Yet two things strike me: Despite the offensiveness of such a claim, some people still hear it as good news. Also, the group most clearly upset by such a claim appears to be the religious establishment - even to the point of issuing threats. How could such an offensive idea, which destabilizes traditional religiosity, be a hope that would transform the Roman Empire in just a few generations? Let's dive into God's Word and hear the same hope that can transform us today.
