Description

As we continue our series in the book of James, this week we come to the topic of favoritism. James actually puts that word in the plural: "favoritisms." And while he is certainly calling out our prejudices, he's after what is underneath them. Why does humanity continually battle and lose to prejudice? It's not just a matter of saying "don't be prejudiced," but rather the hard admission that it is integrally attached to how we do most of life. We have a value problem. We value oppositely from God... and largely because we settle for too little. How can we hope to be healed of that? Let's talk about "Playing Favorites" (James 1:27-2:13).
