We come to the Transfiguration. On a mountaintop, Jesus reveals his glory to Peter, James & John. Moses and Elijah appear. This is a major event in the life of Jesus, but many Christians simply don't know what to do with it. Neither did the disciples at that moment - but it would become one of the main ways they understood why Jesus came, how he fulfilled all of the Old Testament promises, and what he was born to do. The veil between the earthly and eternity was pulled back just for a moment, so they could see the fullness of who Jesus is. Only in seeing who He is did they begin to know who they are and begin to have hope for the hard things ahead of them. How might his glory do the same for us?
