● Labels. Lids. Limitations. Can’t. Won’t. Never!
● These mindsets run rampant in the moment we currently live in.
● These are significant “Barriers” and biases that foster really bad outcomes, fueled and often empowered by negative groupthink.
● BARRIERS THAT NEED TO BE BUSTED!
● The centurion instinctively knows his place.
● He understands authority and chain of command.
● He also recognizes Jesus is submitted to AND given authority and works from it.
● THE OUTSIDER has a better view of how HIS KINGDOM works and ORDER than the INSIDERS who are walking with Jesus can see...AMAZING
TO RECOUNT:
● He’s an outsider
● Has no real knowledge of the real God
● He recognizes the RESULTS on Jesus life
● That word that came to him - He operated on
● HE CAME TO JESUS -- expecting HIS WORD to heal His servant
● He came for the deliverance of another - and expected results….
● HE WAS UNCHURCHED - AND UNDER AUTHORITY
● HE operated ON THE “RHEMA” OF JESUS.
● He didn’t CULTIVATE UNBELIEF from the religious crowd.
● THE CENTURION PUT A DEMAND ON JESUS WORD….IF HE SAID IT...IT’S DONE!!!
BARRIERS BUSTED:
● Pride - how wilL people view me - this?
● Prejudice - Us and Them
● UNWORTHINESS - I don’t qualify for this!
Question to Ponder:
Do you see the correlation between great faith, results in prayer, and walking in real submission and authority to Him and to His people?
