This week the Israelites will head in the wrong direction from where they were in in chapter 7 as they will turn away from the leadership and kingship of God in their lives and they will seek to have a man lead them. This will cause Samuel to be quite upset but God will permit the Israelites that which they desired. Its a sad moment in the history of Israel.
