Paul corrects a prideful church in Corinth, and as he does we get a lesson on spiritual growth. Like moving from an infant towards maturity, spiritual growth means we grow more and more into the image of Christ in our hearts and our lives. We receive God’s truth, and others help us, but ultimately it’s God who gives the growth.
