We have all been incredibly blessed. While life is hard and difficult at times, it is also filled with inordinate blessings. But when we forget where those blessings come from our hearts are led away from the giver and chase after a never-ending list of false hopes. To follow Christ we have to remember where our blessings come from and trust him when they seem more scarce.

2. Do you feel spoiled (or fear you might be spoiled) by all that God has given you?
3. Was the problem in Israel that God gave them too many blessings? Or was the problem something else?
4. How might you be encouraged by the promise of God in the midst of your temptations?
5. What idols or temptations is God calling you to flee from?
