In this section of Luke, we find an angelic message and a human response. Gabriel announces that Mary will conceive and bear a son, and that this son will bring a new hope into the world. This message points to a wealth of grace and love for all kinds of people through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And Mary's response points us to the nature of true faith: sincere questions coupled with a surrendered life.
