Description

Are you prepared to die? While it might uncomfortable to think about, understanding it through a biblical lens can impact how we live our lives today.

Life is beautiful and fleeting, much like trying to grasp a breath in the days that seem to move so quickly for us. Despite our varying days on this earth, we all share the same ultimate destiny.  We must prepare our hearts and minds not from a place of fear but through the promises found in scripture.

See Ecclesiastes 9:1-4, Ecclesiastes 7:1-4

King Solomon, despite his great accomplishments, reflected on many meaningless pursuits towards the end of his life that failed to bring lasting joy. In our pursuit of a well-lived life, the question we must ask ourselves is this: Are we living each day with purpose, gratitude, and faith, acknowledging the temporary nature of our earthly existence?

See Ecclesiastes 2:15-16, Ecclesiastes 2:18-20, Ecclesiastes 3:19-20, Ecclesiastes 9:2-3

Whether you are pondering the meaning of life, seeking to align your daily actions with eternal values, or looking for peace in the face of eternal rest, this sermon will provide the guidance and encouragement you need to place your faith and live fully for Jesus every day, even with the uncertainty of a tomorrow.

Join Pastor Ron Cathcart as he leads a discussion on one of life’s most significant and challenging topics: living for the hope of eternity and being prepared to die.

THE PROMISE OF SALVATION

There is nothing more we can do to earn our salvation. The anchor of our faith is the promise of Jesus' sure return. Those who believe will enter Heaven with Jesus. With our faith and proper view of death, nothing compares to the glory to come.

See John 3:16, Acts 2:21, Romans 10: 9-10

THE PROMISE OF HEAVEN

Jesus assures us His death does not end the way we think it will. He will leave to go and prepare a place for us. By understanding the temporary nature of our earthly existence, we can find peace and prepare for the glory that awaits us. By placing our faith in Him, all of eternity will be spent in Heaven with Jesus.

See John 14: 1-3, 1 Corinthians 2:9

THE PROMISE OF JESUS SURE RETURN

The anchor of our faith is the promise of Jesus' sure return. At that time, everyone will know what is happening and to know Him is to love Him. With our faith and proper view of death, nothing compares to the glory to come!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Romans 8:18-25
