The book of Luke is an investigative report. He retold the story of Jesus’ birth from the accounts of eyewitnesses. He wanted it to be thorough and accurate. So he made sure that he spent time carefully investigating everything from the beginning, starting with the birth of Jesus. Why would someone make this up? Luke points to evidence, that the account of Jesus’s birth was historically accurate. What Luke gives us is not a story, it is the account of the birth and the life of Jesus! He writes, “We Have Something to Celebrate!”
