God designs marriage
· Marriage was designed in a covenant
· Marriage was designed with permanency
· Marriage was designed to represent the Gospel
God protects marriage
· Divorce is regulated by God
· Divorce can be permissible, but not prioritized
God redeems marriage
· God will never commit adultery against you
· God will never abandon you
· God will forever be gracious, faithful, and forgiving
Encouragements:
· If you are single, maximize your season for the sake of the Gospel
· If you are married, love your spouse in a way that shows the Gospel
· If you are considering divorce, remember the power of the Gospel
· If you have been divorced, respond in a way that rests in the Gospel
To follow Jesus is to submit to His ultimate design for marriage and to rest in His power to redeem our deepest hurts
