Description

Revelation 10-11 provide a brief “interlude” between the sixth and seventh trumpet blasts. As with the interlude between the sixth and seventh seals, this interlude provides reassurance to God’s people, instructing the Church on its role in the world and its destiny in Christ. Revelation 11 presents two witnesses (modeled on Moses and Elijah) who testify in a posture of grief and humility (sackcloth) mixed with authority (signs and wonders). They represent the Church standing in humble boldness, faithfully declaring God’s truth, demonstrating God’s power and proclaiming God’s grace.
