As a church we have to understand that God has ordered autonomous authorities on this earth as not only a matrix of responsibility but also a balancing mechanism that demands respect between the spheres.
The first authority that God defined was man in his individualism
The next sphere of autonomy is the family and this itself was instituted before the fall of man.
Then comes Government from that family, and by government I mean organised decision making processes that that grew out of necessity of expanding population
And last but not least we have the God-ordained institution of the Church of God.
