We are constantly tempted to pray like so many other people, yet as followers of Christ, we must pray to God about God and for God’s purpose.
1. Pray with confidence to our Holy Father.
2. Pray with a heart that pleas for God’s provision.
3. Pray with an assurance of God’s preservation.
The prayer that Jesus gives the disciples to pray is one that is focused on God and His Kingdom. The Father and His Family. The Messiah and His mission. God and His Glory. Is this how every prayer should sound? Maybe not. But every prayer should be God-focused. Every prayer should reflect that you know the one that you go to intimately, you need him desperately and you know that he’s saved you perfectly.
