GO DEEPER

Where do you need confidence?

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58

Our goal is to be steadfast and immovable in our faith. This is not arrogance but quiet confidence and trust in God, trust in God’s Word, and trust in God’s promises. So that… "we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit." Ephesians 4:14.

We are called to be firm and fixed in our faith. "And that is why I suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to guard what has been entrusted to me until that day." 2 Timothy 1:12.

Confidence is key to spiritual strength. Confidence grows as we become deeply rooted in faith. We need confidence to grapple with the troubles we face while living in exile. Make note of the places where you need to grow in confidence:

Now pray for strength to trust God and act in faith in these areas!

Confidence for followers of Jesus is not just a personal trait but a spiritual necessity that equips us to handle the difficulties we encounter as we live out our faith.
