SPIRITUAL SELF ASSESSMENT
We are the kind of people who take Paul’s invitation in Ephesians 4:1 seriously. We want to “walk in a manner worthy of the Gospel with which [we] have been called.” We believe that growth in obedience and holiness matter.
In addition to self-assessments, we are willing to be held accountable by those who care for us. We seek out people who can give insights into potential blind spots that might exist in our lives and suggest ways in which we might grow as a believer.
This week, ask someone else to assess your spiritual growth and maturity (chair).
1. What chair do you think I am in?
__CHAIR 1: I am a seeker, curious about Jesus. (Seeker)
__CHAIR 2: I am a believer who follows Jesus. (New Believer)
__CHAIR 3: I am a committed follower who serves others. (Worker)
__CHAIR 4: I am a follower of Jesus who disciples others. (Reproducer)
2. What disconnects do you observe between my beliefs and my actions?
3. Where do you see inconsistencies in my life?
4. How could I demonstrate greater purity in my life?
5. If you could speak any truth in my life to help me grow, what would you say?
