LENTEN JOURNEY – WEEK 2
“Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” ~ James 4:8
The seven weeks leading up to Easter is Lent. It is a season of confession, renewal, and praise. Use this prayer guide as a tool to help you draw near to God in this season. Meditate on the verse and then pray as prompted.
CONFESSION - For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. ~Psalm 51:3-4
RENEWAL - May I love the Lord my God, obey his voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is my life and the length of my days. (from Deuteronomy 30:20)
PRAISE - I sought the Lord, and he answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. ~Psalm 34:4-5
