What does it truly mean to be part of God's family? This weekend, we reflected on the power of adoption and how it frees us from fear and gives us a new identity as His chosen children. As joint heirs with Christ, we are called to a life of courage and purposeful service to others.
Faithwork Assignment:
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. We did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but we received a spirit of adoption. In this new family, we have been chosen, given an identity as a beloved child of God, and made heirs. As you reflect on this truth, consider how this changes the way you view your day-to-day life. In what ways can you actively live out your identity as a chosen child of God and share the abundant love and grace you have received? Remember that following Jesus often exposes us to the suffering of the world, but it also equips us to be His hands and feet in difficult situations.
