Living in a "promised land" of abundance comes with a serious warning from both Moses and Jesus: we might forget God and believe our success is our own. This message explores the spiritual danger of wealth and challenges us to remember why we are blessed. It is a call to use our resources to share our "milk and honey" and bring God's hope to the world's most vulnerable people.
Faithwork Assignment:
Our abundance is a blessing, but Jesus warns us that wealth can make us forget God. Reflect on where "spiritual amnesia" might be setting in for you. We are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others. Ask yourself how you can use the "front-of-the-line" advantages God has given you to help those "at the back." Finally, remember that God brings together the most unlikely people to care for the most unnoticed family. Consider when you have seen God use an unexpected person, perhaps even yourself, to show His love.
