We live in a world that celebrates self-reliance, urging us to "build our empire" and be our "own hero." But what happens when our strength isn't enough? This message explores how the crushing weight of trying to do it all on our own is lifted when we trade self-sufficiency for honest desperation. Drawing from a father's powerful plea in the Gospel of Mark, we discover that true transformation and freedom come not from our own efforts, but from prayer.
Faithwork Assignment:
Reflect on the areas of your life where you rely on your own strength instead of on God. Consider what one honest thing you've been hesitant to tell God in prayer and bring it to Him, no matter how messy it feels. Practice making prayer your first response to challenges, rather than your last resort, remembering that the kind of transformation God desires for you can often only come out through prayer. Set a daily prayer alarm for 4:29 pm to join in APC's prayer for boldness and growth.
