We often get caught up trying to be the "perfect" Christian—holding the right views, saying the right prayers, and checking all the boxes. But what if the true test of our faith isn't about getting it right, but about loving like a child? God doesn't ration His love for us based on our performance; He lavishes it freely. When we truly receive that unconditional love, it overflows, enabling us to love others without keeping score.
Faithwork Assignment:
Reflect on how God lavishes, rather than rations, His love upon us. Consider how you can better receive this unconditional love like a child, instead of feeling like you must earn it. Ponder the idea that the true test of faith isn't about being perfect, but about loving others as a child does. Ask yourself in what relationship you can stop keeping score and start loving more freely. Finally, accept the invitation to love others freely, fully, and fearlessly, jumping over hurdles to bring hope. What barrier of fear or pain can you overcome to show Christ's love to someone in need?
