When Paul and Barnabas healed a man in Lystra, the crowd tried to worship them as gods. Their response? "We are mortals just like you!" This highlights the core of our "incarnational" faith. We are "clay jars," flawed yet chosen. It’s a powerful reminder that God uses ordinary, imperfect people—just like us—to carry His extraordinary message of love and power into the world.
Faithwork Assignment:
We are the "incarnation" of Jesus, called to be mirrors reflecting His light to the world. Reflect on where you can be a mirror of Christ's love to someone. We are all just "clay jars"—flawed but chosen. Consider how knowing you don't have to be perfect frees you to serve God. Ministry involves risks and even failure. Think about where God is calling you to be courageous and "get back up" when you are struck down.
