Jesus was a rabbi, a teacher. One of the most impactful ways to teach is to ask great questions. Jesus asked great questions - lots of them. By one count there are over 40 questions asked by Jesus. Questions invite students to think and grow. Join us this summer at APC as we wrestle with some of the probing questions asked by the Master teacher-Jesus.
🤔Sermon Reflection: A great question asked by Jesus can be found in the story of the blind beggar, Bartimaeus from the book of Mark. When Jesus asked Bartimaeus what He could do for him, the blind man had the courage to ask for healing and not something temporary like food or money. It's often the case that what we think we need is not the true remedy to our suffering. We may ask for worldly things like wealth, but what we really desire is often something much deeper. It takes great courage to admit what we truly need from God, but when we do, we open ourselves up to a truly transformative experience. What is it that you truly need? What's the healing you are looking for instead of a quick fix? 💖🙏
