Ever feel like you're working hard to be "good enough" but still feel like you're falling short? In this sermon, we looked at the story of the rich man who asked Jesus what he needed to do to get eternal life. Jesus's answer turns our idea of earning salvation on its head. It’s not about what we can accomplish, but about what God has already accomplished for us through His love. It's a shift from trying to earn a reward to simply accepting a gift. What does it look like in your life to stop trying to earn God's love and instead live in response to it? #ChildlikeFaith #GraceNotWorks
Faithwork Assignment:
Reflect on the truth that it is impossible to earn our way into heaven through good works. Consider how knowing salvation is a free gift, not a reward for performance, changes the way you live. Ask yourself what "treasure" in your life might be keeping you from following God more closely. Finally, identify an area of your life where you need to let go of control and trust God more wholeheartedly, receiving His gift with the simple faith of a child.
