On June 13th and 27th the Canada Summit for National Progress Online 2020 is taking (took) place.
This is a non-profit event featuring some of Canada's biggest challenges and inviting Canadians to help innovate solutions.
On this week's show we are highlighting the portion of the event that focused on Canada's economic recovery after COVID-19.
Going into COVID-19 Canada's federal debt was around 700 billion and the economy was showing signs of a downturn.
Coming out of COVID-19 unemployment has soared, the debt is expected to be near, or over, 1 trillion and many businesses are fighting for survival.
This is a critical conversation for Canada at this juncture.
