Description

Prisoners in Canada are some of our nation’s most vulnerable, but also most reachable, demographic.

Almost 500,000 adults were admitted to prisons across Canada between 2020 and 2021. This number has declined in recent years due to bills such as C-5 which lightens sentences on violent crimes—such as human trafficking, child abduction, assaulting a police officer etc. Some criminals now serve their sentences under house arrest.

Here with us today to shed some light on what is happening in Canada’s prisons, and how everyday Canadians like you and I can be a part of the solution to help see prisoners turn their lives around, is John and Roxana Kreklo. Their national charity, Harvest Prison Ministries, is committed to bringing transformation and effective reintegration into society one person at a time.
