1. As Solomon methodically designed the temple to glorify God, so we as the Church are to strive to honor the Lord as His temple—“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 6:16, 17b

God promised Solomon and His people Israel great blessing if they dedicated themselves to walking in His ways and we likewise will be blessed as we continue in His word—“Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” 1 Timothy 4:16
3. The precise details of the temple’s construction and components were intended to convey the glory of God to generate reverence in those who approached His presence reminding us of the blessing it is to now enter in with boldness because of the work of Jesus Christ—“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:19-22
