Mankind’s first encounter with Satan, described in Genesis 3, established a tragic pattern of behavior that has echoed down through human history and even to our present day. We cannot understand our present predicament apart from our past. Or, as one said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” We can fix this.
