This week, we continue to take on loneliness by talking about solutions to help you find connections in our disconnected world. There’s something here for just about everybody!
This Week’s Listener Question:
My daughter left for college three weeks ago. She called to tell me how lonely she is. Oh… my heart breaks thinking of her alone in her room. I get it! I feel lonely a lot of the time too. What should we do?
Small Group Questions:
To build connection with a friend or in your small group, ask each other these questions.
1. Recently, what is bringing you joy or energizing you?
2. What is challenging or draining you?
3. What opportunities or invitations have come your way?
4. Christine and Laura talked about many different rituals or habits for building stronger connections with others. (Examples – 8 minute phone call, weekly brunch, monthly Zoom meeting, scheduled hobby or walk…) What’s one ritual you’re willing to practice regularly to develop meaningful connections?
5. Women often dissociate from their feelings and needs, such as putting off going to the bathroom;) In what ways could you better connect with your feelings and sensations? How might connecting with yourself encourage connections with others?
