Description

Ah winter… the days are short, the weather’s cold and we’re stuck inside after having just survived the holidays.

Depression is an incredibly complicated condition, a blob of emotions unique to each of us. About the only constant is that we shouldn’t weather it alone.

But as our friend the lobster shows us, pain can have a purpose and be a catalyst for change, an invitation to growth. We just have to face it head on. So who do you trust, who can you reach out to for help breaking through?

Small Group Questions:

1. When have you faced a season of depression?

2. What “globs” or “blobs” or parts showed up for you?

3. What thoughts and/ or emotions tend to fuel your depression?

4. How can you view times of “stuck-ness” as invitations to change,

grow, or find traction in an area of your life?
