The fact that God disciplines those he loves seems to go against what we want. Why on Earth would you want to be punished by God and how can God love you if He wants to punish you right? It seems like an oxymoron. But remember that God chastens in proportion to His love. And Today Pastor Dan will be reading through the book of Amos, where you will see that God Disciplines and chastises those He loves, to make them better. He corrects you because He has accepted you as his child.
