You wont be at peace if you cannot bring the past and the future together in the present. The past represents your spiritual inheritance, and the future is Yahweh's prophetic vision and will for your life.
We have a hybrid in our souls, conflict, because our sin nature was removed in Christ, but our souls (mind, will, emotions) have not been fully renewed. When you die in Christ, sin is no longer in the life that emerges. This is new life! But it's a process. Our bodies are like a house under renovation. We've had to live in our own bodies while allowing Holy Spirit to recreate us!
