Luke 12:1 Under these circumstances, after so many thousands of people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another, He began saying to His disciples first [of all,] "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

It is to be removed before it infects.
The process is to remind us of purity.
Slide: Exo. 12:11 'Now you shall eat it in this manner: [with] your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste--it is the LORD'S Passover.
Slide: If the “leaven” in this passage is not the incestuous man, but is actually the pride of the people, then what does that say about the sin of pride?

Humility mourns sin, but pride tolerates it.
Tolerance for sin in the church is a breeding ground for division.
The greatest enemy here is PRIDE.
