We all hate waiting. “Are we there yet?” is a constant refrain, whether it's the kids on a summer road trip or the rest of us waiting on a job, a test result, or a break from the routine.
As we continue in our series on the Psalms, we'll look at Psalm 130, a song of waiting. In it, we hear the psalmist cry out for the mercy of God. He is waiting for relief and forgiveness; He is waiting for the Lord. Like the psalmist, we too can learn to wait on the Lord. And when we do, we discover that nothing is ever wasted in our waiting. "For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption." -Psalm 130:7
