Reading 1 Peter 1, Jesus asks “……… how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”"
Don’t we all think of the “Rich” as someone else. You know those with millions or more. But if we put this into perspective, information provided by The United States Census Bureau on US household income, and a report from Giving What We Can states, that median income of Americans places them in the top 4% of the riches people in the world.
With the worldwide median household income of $2800 per year, and the United States median household income of $71000, does Jesus’ statement change your understanding of who the ‘’rich man” is.
