However, whereas we might read this as a neat story and move on, Pastor Andy points out critical details that turn the story of a “wee, little man” in a tree into a beautiful picture of redemption.
So today we praise God for not only being on the move — but for stopping in his tracks when we strain to get a glimpse of Him! We operate today not out of fear, but out of JOY knowing that Jesus has reconciled us to Himself and made a way for us!
Like the story of Zaccheus teaches us, may it never be about our own plans or feelings... Rather, may it always be about the One who paid the price to set us free. May it always be about the TREE!
