There is life-changing power when we lift up our heads and look to the One who created it all. Jesus showed great compassion towards this woman and her home city. Jesus knew that just to be seen with this woman and in her city was frowned upon in the Jewish culture, yet He still showed her compassion.
This is just one instance where Jesus is able to move across social lines and impact people from all backgrounds and upbringings. He sets an example for us to follow where we can learn to both love and serve as He does.
When we fully start to grasp this idea and love and serve as Jesus did, we find that His resources become our strength and energy. He wants more for us and He gave His life so that we can have more through Him. But above everything, He wants us to share this good news with others, just like giving a fresh glass of water to those who are suffering from thirst.
No matter where we're at in life, God is ready to move for you, help you, cover you, and bring you great hope. We've been called to pass on this good news – it’s too great to keep it to ourselves!
