Jesus gives us a clear visual picture that He is the true vine, and those who abide in Him will be connected to the source of all spiritual life. And as branches in the vine, all believers have a living union with Jesus, and He enables us to bear fruit as His power works in and through us. As we bear fruit, God continually prunes us for more fruit and glory to His name. Pastor Blair goes on to describe the ways in which we are pruned.
