Description

All families know how to fight, but knowing how to fight fair is the difference between unity and division.

1.Some things are worth fighting over.
1 Corinthians 11:19 (ESV) for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.

2.Go and talk it out.
Matthew 18:15 (ESV)“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

3.Seek reconciliation over resolution.
Matthew 5:23–24 (NLT) “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God

4.Be led by grace always!
Colossians 4:6 (ESV) Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

5.First, be a peacemaker.
Romans 12:18 (NLT) Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

6.Lead with Listening.
James 1:19 (NLT) Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

7.Be quick to apologize and quicker to forgive.
Ephesians 4:32 (NLT) Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

8.Stay in bounds.
James 1:20 (NLT) Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.

9.Live peaceably as much as you can.
Romans 12:18 (NLT) Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

10.Remember that you are not God.
Genesis 50:19–20 (ESV) But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God?

11.Let God use the struggle for your spiritual formation.
James 1:4 (NLT) So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
